    andmonitorwellsat~1kmdepthoverthetemperaturerange200-330°CfromBroadlands-Ohaaki,Kawerau,Mokai,Ngawha,

    Ngatamariki,Rotokawa,andWairakei.WatersamplesandfieldblankswereyzedforAs,Ag,Au,Cd,Cu,Hg,Mn,Mo,Ni,

    Pb,Sb,Se,Te,Tl,W,andZnbyICP-MSysisatCSIRO,andtheresultsshowconsiderablevariability.Mostdataareinthe

    rangeof0.1to1000ppb,butAg,As,Cu,Sb,Ni,Zn,andTeattaoncentrationsmorethan1000ppbindeepthermalwatersfrom

    somesystems.Theconcentrationsofmanymetalsrange1-2ordersofmagnitudevariation,butAgandnge3ordersof

    magnitudeconcentration.Thevariabilityinmetalconcentrationsbetweenthreesystems,Ngawha,Rotokawa,andWairakei,showa

    geospatialpatternthatcorrelatestosomeextentwiththeconcentrationsofdeepsourcedconstituents,ClandB.Theresultsshow
