The Third Period
Teaching Aims:
1.Review the words and phrases learnt in the last two periods.
2.Learn and master the new words and phrases in this period.
3.Review the use of the Subject.
Teaching Important Points:
1.Master the differences between the infinitive and the v.-ing used as the Subject.
2.Pay attention to the Agreement.
Teaching Difficult Points:
1.How to help the students to complete a passage with the words and phrases given.
2.How to help the students to choose the Subject correctly.
Teaching Methods:
1.Review methods to help the students remember what they have learnt.
2.Inductive and practice methods to get the students to master what they’ve learnt.
3.Individual work or pair work to make every student take an active part in class.

Step Ⅰ Greetings
Greet the whole class as usual.
Step Ⅱ Revision
T:In the last period,we’ve learned some phrases and a sentence pattern.Now please make some sentences with them.One student,one sentence.
(Ask some students to make sentences one by one.)

T:No.His/Her sentence is wrong.Sorry,I should have explained this point to you in the last period.Now I’ll explain it to you.Listen carefully.If the predicative is a singular noun in an adverbial clause of concession introduced by “as”,the indefinite article should not be used.For example.Child as he is,he knows how to make money.Do you understand?
