SEFC Book2B Unit20 Grammar Language Study Hello, everyone. Today I am very pleased to have an opportunity to talk about some of my teaching ideas. My topic is The Grammar part taken from Senior English for China Book 2B Unit 20, and my idea is made up of five parts: analysis of the teaching material, the teaching methods, the studying methods, the teaching procedure, and blackboard design. First, let me talk about the teaching material. Part1. Analysis of the Teaching Material This part is in the Grammar Part. It is about the usage of word “it”. It plays an important role in the English teaching of this unit. By studying this lesson, students will learn how to simplify some long-winded sentences, to make our expressions more concise and clear. Teacher and students will summary and do exercises together to grasp this grammar knowledge. Aims: 1. Revise some new words. 2. Enable the students to recognize word form. 3. Enable the students to use “it”. Difficult point: “it” is used as the subject position taking the place of “to do”/ “a clause”. Part2. The Teaching Methods Grammar is the most important field in English studying, and at the same time, it is also abstract and a little boring compared with other fields. So I should do my best to arouse students’ interest, and lead them to know the new knowledge through that they have already known. So I will use the two methods to accomplish my plan: Discussion method Induction method Part3. The Studying Methods For the students, the most useful and efficient way to learn grammar is to doing exercises and memorizing. Part4. Teaching procedures: Step1- Revision: We all know that, in Chinese, some words have the same spelling but have different meanings, and even the part-of-speech are different. Eg: 她人很好。(好:good, kind,)形容词 她好这一口。(好:like)动词…etc. Then ask some students to give more examples. In English, it is the same. Step2 -Presentation (words study) 1.Give examples of some words for the students to compare. Encourag
