Abstract:Based on the modern teacher training, the teacher continuing education has developed into an emer-
ging educational activity which is devoted to the teacher professional development. In the 1970 s it began to de-
velop in China and has gone through an uneven road. This paper makes a brief review of the developmental
course of our countrys teacher continuing education, makes an analysis of its problems, and looks forward to
its future.
