T he ore bodies in t his ore deposit mainly occur along the contact zone betw een t he granodiorite and the carbonate rock . In order to constrain the emplacement age of t he int rusive rocks wit hin and around t he Baiyinnuoer Pb- Zn deposit, t he authors dat ed the zircons of f our samples from t he int rusive rocks by using the L A- MC- ICP- MS met hod. T hree reliable weig ht ed mean 20 Pb/ 238U ages of ( 1348 12) M a ( MSWD = 240) , ( 2445 09) M a( MSWD = 085 ) , and ( 1292 14) M a( MSWD = 55) w ere obt ained from t he granite bat holit hs around the Baiyinnuoer ore deposit , g ranodiorit e and quartz porphyry in the ore deposit , respect ively.
