Language games are not activities mainly aimed to break the ice between students or to kill time. Byrne (1995) gave the definition to games as a form of play governed by rules. They should be enjoyed and fun. They are not just a diversion, a break from routine activities, but a way of getting the learner to use the language in the course of the game. Similarly, Jill Hadfield (1990) defined games as “an activity with rules, a goal and an element of fun.” (是一种有规则、有目标和有趣味的活动。) What are games ? Therefore, games involve many factors: rules(规则), competition(竞赛), relaxation(放松), and learning(学习), in particular.? The main focus of using game in class is to help students learn and have fun. Using games in classroom How to use games in the classroom? Give instructions 讲清游戏目的、要求、规则 How to choose a game to use?
