(in both Chinese and English; maximum 500 words.) 中山大学药学院是原中山大学和中山医科大学两校合并后于2002年6月成立的第一个新学院。学院以中山大学生命科学院药学系为基础，整合了中山大学生命科学院、化学与化学工程学院以及医学院有关药学科学研究的资源，以中山大学的综合力量为依托组建而成。现任院长为黄民教授。 学院下设8个实验室、4个中心及挂靠单位（实验动物中心）。现设置药学本科专业一个。2006年获得药学一级学科博士学位授予权，博士点覆盖了药理学、药物化学、生药学、药物分析、药剂学、微生物与生化药学等6个二级学科。学院现有在校生人，其中博士生人，硕士生人，研究生课程进修班学生人，全日制本科生人，夜大专升本学生人。2006年至今共承担94项纵横向科研项目，获资助1800多万元。2006年获国家自然基金资助9项，资助金额257万元，目前承担着400万元以上的重大项目5项。 The School of Pharmaceutical Sciences was established in June of 2002. It is the first newly instituted school after the mergence of the former Sun Yat-sen University and the former Sun Yat-sen University of Medical Sciences. It combines the academic and human resources of the two universities in pharmaceutical research field. And professor Huang Min assumes the dean of the office. There are totally 8 laboratories,4 research centers and 1 attached unit in the school. Now the school provide one undergraduate majority-pharmaceutical sciences. In 2006,the school has obtained the first-level discipline authorized to confer doctoral degrees of pharmacology, 6 second-level disciplines including Pharmacology, Medicinal chemistry, Pharmacognosy, Pharmaceutical analysis, Pharmacy, Pharmaceutics Microbial and Biochemical Pharmacy. The first-level discipline of pharmacology is also the only one pharmaceutical science doctoral program in Southern China. As the school matured, advanced doctor degree programs were established, which cover 6 second-level disciplines, including Pharmacology, Medicinal chemistry, Pharmacognosy, Pharmaceutical analysis, Pharmacy, Pharmaceutics Microbial and Biochemical Pharmacy.
