Last class, we learn the differences between British and American English. Today we will go on dealing with some words that show the differences between British and American English. Turn to page 4 and look at vocabulary.
Match the British and American word and phrases in the box. (work in pairs, make sure that the Ss know the words well)
Use some of the words to make some sentences in pairs.
Rewrite their sentences using British or American words.
Step Ⅲ Grammar
Match the sentences with the correct meanings.
Read the sentences and match them. Make sure the student know the tenses.
Complete the sentences with the correct form of the verbs.
The students do it individually, and then check with the whole class. When they do it, ask them to pay attention to the time adverbial.
Complete the sentences with since and for.
Complete the sentences first.
Read the sentences and try to tell the differences between “since” and “for” in pairs according to the sentences.
For 介词,接时间段;since 介词,连词;后接时间点
Complete the sentences with the correct verb forms.
The students do it individually, and then check with the whole class.
Complete the sentence in your own words. (using the future tense)

Work in pairs. Think about problems exchange students have. Number them in order of importance.
