II) Committee Approvals The 2007 meeting minutes and 2008 agenda were approved by unanimous vote. III) chairman’s report: Om Malik The Chairman opened the meeting by thanking all for attending and thanking the committee for electing him to the position of Chairman. He reported that attendance at the General Meeting was good; around 2200 people are in attendance. At the TD conference in Chicago, over 14,000 were in attendance. Chairman Malik went on to outline the upcoming meetings in the next two years: PSCE in Seattle in March ‘09 IEMDC in Miami in May ’09 PES General Mtg. in Calgary in July ‘09 TD Conference in New Orleans in Spring ‘10 Chairman Malik requested that each sub committee look within their groups for longtime members to participate in the EMC. The Chairman then talked about a newly formed working group which will deal with short circuit current contributions from wind generator sites.
