M ethods Fourteen dogs were d ivided into sham-operated group and pacing group. Canine models of AF produced by right atrial pacing at 400 beats per m inute for 6 w eeks in pacing group. A fter 6-w eek tachypacing, the degree of nerve sprouting and sympathetic innervation at right atrial anteriorw all ( RAAW ) and left atrial anteriorw all ( LAAW ) w ere quantified by mi munoh istochem is try.
