GB/T 19233-2003 National Standard of the Peoples Republic of China Measurement methods of fuel consumption for light-duty vehicles 1 Scope This national standard specifies the testing and calculating methods of fuel consumption by the carbon balance method using the measured emissions of carbon dioxide (CO2), carbon monoxide (CO) and hydrocarbon (HC) during the test cycle simulating the urban and extra-urban driving patterns. This national standard applies to vehicles of category M1 powered by positive-ignition engine or compression-ignition engine with a maximum design speed of 50km/h or more and vehicles of category M and N with a maximum design total mass not exceeding 3.5 tons. 2 1 2 Normative references The following documents contain provisions which, through reference in the text, constitute provisions of this national standard.
