Abstract:Visual Anthropology is marginalized by the instrumentalization!
and technicalization! of visual anthropology, by the different demarcation of the
object of study and by the unfamiliarity of the theory of the visual anthropology.
What the contemporary researches of visual anthropology should focus is not only
on the visual cultural heritage and the cultural image reflected by camera lens,
but also on the group images, visual symbols and visual action of men through
the study of the visual culture of how people live their lives and the visual expres
sion, visual communication, visual action of different groups. The contemporary
study of Visual Anthropology should also pay attention to the influence on cul
ture brought by the visual media and visual revolution, investigating the cultural
conflicts and changes
