22s TN A Distributed Temperature Sensing System and Applications for Tunnel Monitoring 1 2 2 1 2* TU Qinchang LI Sheying GU Haitao ZHANG Yanhui WANG Jian 1 Focused Photonics Hangzhou , Inc., Hangzhou 310052, China 2 Electronic Information College , Hangzhou Dianzi University, Hangzhou 310018, China Abstract: Distributed temperature sensing system is a novel linear temperature sensor and has many advantages, such as long sensing distance, high temperature resolution, high location accuracy, fast response and smart alarm mode. In this paper, the measuring principle of distributed temperature sensing was introduced. And the main configuration and the features were described in detail. The test reports indicated its key performances achieve the international advanced level. The applications for tunnel monitoring was presented and the fire test results show that the system has excellent performance such as fast response time 22s , high precision and can provide safeguard for tunnel operation.
