Content 1.0 General information / introduction Product features / product functions 3.0 Conformance / standards Approvals / certificates / marks Technical data Mechanical requirements Quality requirements Documentation Start up and adjustment 1.0 General This specification guide covers the general requirements for design, information/ manufacturing and installation of analog signal converters for Introduction converting temperature input signals into desired output signals. 2.0 Product features/ The temperature signal converter shall be designed for converting product functions temperature signals of PT100 sensors (5 ranges up to 800 °C) and signals of variable resistances from 0-380 ( into threshold values for relay outputs. The device shall have two threshold relay outputs with one c/o contact each. The threshold values shall be adjustable separately for each relay from 2% to 100% of the selected temperature input range. For each threshold a hysteresis from 5% to 50% related to the threshold value shall be able to be set. The input ranges shall be selectable by means of directly accessible DIP switches on the side. Both threshold and the respective hysteresis values should be possible to be adjusted by means of potentiometers located on the front side of the device. The mode for open- or closed circuit principle shall be configurable with DIP switches on the side of the device. The temperature signal converter shall be provided with a 3-way electrical isolation (1.5 kV) to ensure maximum operating safety. The device shall accept 2- or 3-wire connection of the RTD sensors. If the input temperature signal exceeds the threshold value or drops below the other threshold value, the corresponding output relay energizes or de-energizes (depending on the selected mode for open- or closed circuit principle).
