It also covers the whole range of packaging products that use to protect, transport, and distribute goods, as well as the techniques and devices used in the packing process. Packaging plays an indispensable role within logistics and its optimal design is important for the efficient functioning of the whole logistics system. Different Types of Packaging ? Sales packaging Packaging which constitutes a sales unit to the final user or consumer at the point of purchase. ? Grouped packaging Packaging which constitutes, a grouping of a certain number of sales units, whether the latter is sold as such to the final user, or whether it serves only as a means to replenish the shelves at the point of sale. It can be removed from the product without affecting its characteristics. ?
