SEA TURTLES 911 (August 2009 – Present) Programs Director and Fund-raising Coordinator Responsible for program development and fund-raising for a small sea-turtle rescue and rehabilitation program located in Sanya, Hainan. 2009 IRONMAN CHINA (April 2009) Information Desk During race week was in charge of a staff of four providing information services for 700 athletes and nearly 2,000 race associated friends, family, staff, media and volunteers. On race day worked with six interns at the finish line answering questions and directing people. Light interpretation duties included a press conference at the finish line. TOUR OF HAINAN 2008 (September 2008 – November 2008) Pre-Race Services Department Performed tasks such as proofreading of all English documents (including invitation letters for teams and officials) so as to prepare for the race. Was one of three people interacting with the teams, officials and foreign members of the press. Secretariat Provided other translators with relevant technical jargon necessary for their jobs. Distributed daily results to teams. Emailed daily results to media and the UCI. Maintained information board. Translated communiqués, bulletins, and weather reports from Chinese to English.
