First of all，I want to say thanks to my supervisor, Dr. Cheng Xiongyong, without whose strict demands and patient guidance, I would not have finished this thesis successfully. The earnest instructions of all the other teachers during these four years must also be strongly emphasized and appreciated here, because they are the guides on my way not only to the paradise of knowledge but also to the direction of a meaningful life. Abstract Interjections, which impart a large amount of information to the informed listeners, exist in any language. These words, either marked with syllables or made up of notional words, make our language more valid and effective. They are widely used in both our daily communications and the composition of literary and artistic works, and hence are a significant group of words that should be acquired to improve our interpersonal skills and to express ou
