Injection on Arterlovenous Fistula ABSTRACT Objective：To observe the curative effect of Shuxuetong坷ection on arteriovenous fistula(AVF)and to evaluate its effectiveness and safety on maintainingAVF． Methods：60 cases of maintenance hemodialysis(MUD)patients were enrolled in this study,all of whom used AVF as the vascular access for more than 1 year in blood purification center of Ruikang Hospital affiliated to Guangxi University of Chinese Medicine from February 20 1 0 to February 20 1 1．The patients were divided into the treatment group(n=30)and the control group(n-30)by random number table．A random，non—blind，parallel and controlled method was adopted．The control group was given regular hemodialysis and conventional basic treatment，while the treatment group，in addffion to the therapy of the control group，was given intravenous drip of 6 ml of Shuxuetong Inj ection in 1 00ml of O．9％sodium chloride inj ection，once daily．The therapy was applied for 1 week continuously as a course and then stopped．After that，the group was given a course every 3 months．Other anticoagulants were not used in any of the two groups．And the two groups were observed for 3 years．The effectiveness(blood flow of internal fistula， vascular diameter detected by color Doppler ultrasound，thrombosis rate)and safety(bleeding，allergic reactions，liver function and blood coagulation function)indicators of the two groups of patients were observed before and after the treatment． Results：(1)Effectiveness indicators：Compared with the control group， there were significant differences of blood flow amount of AVF and thrombosis in the treatment group(尸0．05)，suggesting that Shuxuetong Inj ection can improve the mature rate of intemal fistula and reduce thrombosis；Compared with the control group，there were significant differences of inside diameter of intemal fistula，the cases of artery stenosis， and the cases of atherosclerotic pla
