Control System of a Winding Machine Abstract The control principle of series 6 15 winding machine produced by GE COOPERATION was analyzed and its rebuilt control system was also given. The old system had many defects and could not be generally used. The aim of rebuilding was mainly at the electricity control unit and its software. The new control system was composed of a personal computer, a set of PLC system, alternating servo system, and etc. The PLC system was the kernel of the control system. The PLC system consisted of CPU module, high-speed counter module, A/D module,D/A module, and communicating module. The system included 6 units, which were controlled by reading the count of the optical-code disk. Other control systems can also benefit from the controlling principle and technique presented in this paper. Introduction Winding machine was a special device which was made by coil electrical capacitor components, playing an important role in making electrical capacitor. However, national manufactures had to invite foreign experts to improve it in technology at an expensive cost, because the equipment was introduced from abroad. Long ago, being lake of technical support, other control systems can benefit from the technique and controlling principle presented in this paper. The new control system consisted of a personal computer, a set of programmable logical control (PLC)system, alternating servo system, and etc. The PLC system consisted of CUP module, and communicating module. The system included 6 units(eg. beginning, perforating aluminum foil, cutting off the foil, indexing, loading off the unit, and automatically feeding the material),which were controlled by reading the count of the optical-code disk. 2. Analysis of Original Control System The old win
