律动与心扉的共鸣 2013巴塞尔钟表珠宝展 The highlight of the watch year is the BaselWorld show， held each spring in Basel， Switzerland. BaselWorld is the single most important watch and jewelry show in the world and for eight days， the entire watch and jewelry industry descends on this beautiful city on the Rhine River. The show is open to the public， but the majority of visitors are retailers， distributors and journalists from around the world. The new and improved BaselWorld opened on April 24， 2013， and the change was dramatic. Halle 1 was grander and more expansive， providing a luxurious environment for the brands still in Halle 1. Halle 1.1 and 1.2 were all new as well， with bigger booths and more open space， making for a more pleasant show experience. I was there for the entire show， visiting more than 100 brands（and seeing more than 1，500 news watches） on behalf of Fortune Character readers. China remains a big market for every brand， large and small， luxurious and entry level， so I was certainly well received by everyone. Right before Basel this year， Corum made the announcement that the brand had been purchased by a Chinese company， Citichamp （Holdings） Limited， Hong Kong. On the day I visited Corum， I was able to meet its president， Han Kwok Lung， who was a charming man. We really hit it off， so expect to see some more detail on this development and the man behind it.
