Good afternoon, boys and girls. Good, sit down, please.
第二讲:
Step 1: 导入小结,review Eliass story,进入正题,The Rest of Eliass Story.
Today we are going to learn the text: The Rest of Eliass Story.
Please take out your textbook and then turn to page 38.
Did you still remember what we learn last time? Yeah, so far we have read a story about Elias, right? And as we know, in order to support Nelson Mandela, Elias helped him blow up some government buildings. Can you imagine what would happen to him if he was caught? Actually, he was caught and then put into a prison on Robben Islands. However, he was lucky enough to get help from Mandela even when he was in prison.
Step 2: 进入fast reading, 带着问题听录音(3min)。
Now, please listen to the tape carefully try to think about the main ideas of Para.1 and 2, well fill in the blanks, choose the best answer to complete each sentence and then answer the following four questions.展示PPT,念:
How did Mandela help Elias when he was on Robben Island?
What did Elias do when he was in prison?
How did Mandela help Elias after he came to power?
Finally, what did Elias take as his job? Did he enjoy it?
Please pay attention to the key words and sentences of the whole text, try to find out the main ideas. Ok, now, lets go.
Step 3: 总结各段main ideas.
Step 4: 进入detail reading, 提问个别学生完成单选题( 少敏,文晋,谢琳,晓仪)和问答题(学勤)并给出正确答案。
OK, so much for the listening. Well, from Para.1 and 2,we know that Elias was lucky enough to get help from Mandela even when he was in prison. He could study and get a degree if he had the chance. At first he didnt enjoy his job but later he was proud of it. And I will ask some students to answer my questions.
