Some people believe that a test of spoken English is very important because English is a language including listening, writing, reading and speaking. This means that oral English is indispensable to the language. Not only must we know what it means, but also know how to use it orally or in written form. However some other people hold opposite opinions. First, in their daily life they seldom use English because they communicate with others in Chinese instead of English. Secondly, many of them can’t go abroad, so they don’t have many chances to speak with foreigners. Lastly, even if they are exposed to English, in most cases it is newspaper, magazines, or articles, which demand them not to speak English. Evaluation only.
