Abstract As one of the basic rights protected by the Constitution, liberty of the press plays a significant role in the contemporary society governed by the rule of law. Meanwhile, the Constitution provides that the general right of personality and specific right of personality of citizens are protected as basic rights. The improper practice of the liberty of press leads to the press infringement of rights, which inevitably infringes upon the basic human rights of citizens. Yet, the mere emphasis on the private rights of citizens will hinder the proper exercise of the freedom of the press. I
