Thanks for giving me this chance to test what I have learned in my four years’ college education.
Firstly, I want to give my thanks to my supervisor, Ms. Tan Dinghua, who gave me valuable suggestions on accumulating materials and organizing the ideas.
Secondly, I also wish to extend my thanks to some teachers during my four years of undergraduate study.

Abstract
Education gradually plays an important role in the modern society with the rapid social-economic and cultural development of human civilization, especially children education. Faced with social competition that needs hi-tech and hi-achieved talents, many countries in the world study other countries’ education advantages to make up for the inadequacy of their own education. The Chinese education, which is examination-oriented, is different from the Western education, which focuses on the cultivation of personal qualities and individual capabilities. As the education system should be based on its own society backgrounds, it is not easy to tell which is better between western education and Chinese education.
This thesis will analyze the differences of children education between China and western countries from three aspects: education concept, family education, school education. It aims at develop the children education system.
