Boarding design 1.The analysis of the students ●Many of them come from the countryside and have the basic ability of listening and speaking. ●They are reluctant to speak English. ●Most of them learn little about the universe 2.Teaching material Analysis ◆The position and function of the teaching material This is the fourth period of this unit. It attaches importance to listening and speaking . And to develop the Ss’listening and speaking abilities. ◆Teaching goals Knowledge goal: Get students to learn some new words and expressions Ability goals: To develop the Ss’imaginary ability and the ability of grasping key information while listening the passage Emotion goals: To help students know more about the universe and to develop Ss’sense of cooperation ◆Teaching difficult and important points Get the students to listen to and understand the listening material about gravity. And with some useful expressions help them imagine themselves in space 3. Teaching and Learning Strategies ▲Audio-visual teaching method ▲Task-based approach ▲Cooperative learning method Teaching aids PPT, Multi-media computer, Blackboard and so on 4 .Teaching procedures The time table : Step1: story telling (2minutes) Step2: revision (2minutes) Step3: warming up (3minutes) Step4: listening (14minutes) Step5: speaking (14minutes) Step6: question time (3minutes) Step7: review and homework (2minutes) Step1:Story telling(2minutes) I will ask a student to tell us a story as usual before each class.
