An inflated self-image This manager believes the sun revolves around them. They make all the decisions and consider their way the only right way. These people hire workers who reinforce this self-image, and use selective communication to prevent others from seeing the big picture of whats going on. These managers also fear losing their status by no longer being regarded as the expert or the principal architect of a well-executed project. Confusing action with productivity A manager may be hyperactive and afraid that delegation might leave them with nothing to do. Quite commonly, they complain constantly about overwork, and their subordinates have difficulty getting any face time. Fear of appearing lazy Delegation might be construed by key people in the company as the manager trying to avoid work. This can be a sensitive point. Such managers also feel that its a sign of weakness to need help keeping up with workloads. Lack of role models This is a monkey see, monkey do syndrome. If a superior doesnt delegate, the new manager will reason, My boss got to where he is with that style of leadership. Why shouldnt I do the same? Reluctance to yield territory Possession of a clearly defined territory represents power and security. Insecure managers guard their space and will often fight to protect it. Introduction The aim of this report is to comment on the number of people visiting the company website in the last three months and propose a marketing strategy for the next three months. Findings Over the last three months, the number of visitors has increased by 650. There are two reasons for the increase. First of all, we launched a newsletter for subscribers. Secondly in May, we ran a competition which was very popular. With regard to costs, banners have cost 3,2oo euros a month but very few people seem to visit the website as a result of these.
