Overarching goal: Our students will work collaboratively and make mathematical connections in order to become independent problem-solvers. Relationship of the Lesson to the Standards Prior units of study: Bits & Pieces I, II, III, Stretching & Shrinking Standards: 6th Grade Strand: Number and Operations Benchmark 3: Convert fractions to decimals and percents and use these representations in estimations, computations and applications.
