Teach steps and contents: A.Warming – up : 1 T says :I made a survey and asked many children what do they do everyday, and the survey results are shown by some pictures, Ss should look at the flashing pictures on the screen and speak out the English phrases about “what do they do everyday” . T writes down some phrases on the blackboard: play football play basketball watch TV read a chant: chant: football, football, I can play football basketball, basketball, I can play basketball watch TV, watch TV, I can watch TV B. Presentation: 1 Ss look at some pictures and guess what do they also do everyday? ” And present new words and phrases: clean, wash , finish , help, clean the room , wash trousers , finish homework, help my mum Play a game to read all the words and phrases. 2 T does some actions and asks Ss to guess : what did I do yesterday? And T should read loudly on the words “ed” so as to attract Ss’s attention. 3 T writes down some phrases on the blackboard into two lines, one line is simple present tense and the other is simple past tense, and then asks Ss to find out the difference between the two lines of phrases, and T presents the rules of simple past tense to the Ss. 4 T asks Ss to write down the past tense of some words , in order to check whether Ss know the rules. 5 Free talk: T asks Ss to discuss with classmates, and tell them : what did I do yesterday to practice the simple past tense and sentence pattern: Yesterday , I … C Homework 1 Listen to the tape and read the new words and text after
