1.Yang Ming hates being called an alcoholic, but it is the fact that people have classified his music as “noise” that upsets him most.
译文: 杨明不喜欢被叫做酒鬼,但是把他的音乐归类为“噪音”,这一事实最让他难过。
【分析】(1)the fact that....中that引导的是 同位语 从句。此从句的引导词有: that, whether,
why, who, where, how, when 等,被此从句修饰的名词有: fact, news, idea, belief, thought, truth,
promise, suggestion 等。
判断下面各是什么从句:
a.I told him the news that he had passed the English exam. (同位语从句)
b.I told him the news that made him surprised. ( 定语 从句)
【归纳总结】that引导同位语从句和定语从句的区别是: []
that在同位语从句中起 连接词 作用,用来说明前面的词所表达的内容,不作 (作/不作)句子成分,一般 不可省 (可省/不可省);而在定语从句中作 主语 、 宾语 、 表语 ,作宾语时 可省 (可省/不可省)。
(2)本句是一个强调句。被强调的部分是 the fact that people have classified his music as “noise”
