* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * Container ships Container ships Designed to be capable of carrying all of its cargo in unitised containers The feature of such a type vessel is to reduce cargo-handling cost through the concept of unit transport technique. Compared to general cargo ships, cargo can be loaded and unloaded several times more quickly in a container ship. Ever since its introduction, container ships have taken over much of the goods carried by general cargo ships. The cargo is transported by road, river, rail and sea while remaining inside the box (container).
