Methods The data of 143 cases of cirrhosis treating by EVL from Mar 2007 to Del 2009 were retrospectively summarized. Results The incidences of early rebleeding, esophageal ulcer, portal hypertensive gastropathy were obviously reduced after performing EVL combined drug therapy. The re bleeding rates in patients with C level liver function were significantly higher than those in patients with A and B level.
