Methods:OutpatientveteransofOEF/OIFwhodrank≥3daysinthepastweekwererecruitedfromaUS DepartmentofVeteransAffairs(VA)DeploymentHealthClinicwaitingroom.Veteransprivatelypretestedthe anonymouse-SBIthencompletedindividualsemistructuredaudio-recordedinterviews.Theirresponseswere analyzedusingtemplateanalysistoexploredomainsidentifiedaprioriaswellasemergentdomains. Results:Duringinterviews,allnineOEF/OIFveterans(1womanand8men)indicatedtheyhadreceivedfeedback forriskyalcoholconsumption.Participantsgenerallylikedthestandard-drinksimage,alcohol-relatedcaloricand monetaryfeedback,andthewebsite’sbrevityandanonymity(aprioridomains).Theyalsoexperiencedchallenges withportionsofthee-SBIassessmentandviewedfeedbackregardingalcoholriskandnormativedrinkingas problematic,butdescribedpotentialbenefitsderivedfromthee-SBI(emergentdomains).Themostappealinge- SBIswouldensureanonymityandprovidepersonalizedtransparentfeedbackaboutalcohol-relatedrisk, considerationofthecontextfordrinking,strategiestoreducedrinking,andadditionalresourcesforveteranswith moreseverealcoholmisuse. Conclusions:Resultsofthisqualitativeexploratorystudysuggeste-SBImaybeanacceptablestrategyfor increasingOEF/OIFveteranaccesstoevidenced-basedalcoholSBI. Keywords:Internet,Alcohol,Briefinterv
