The results of tests showed the polymer macromolecular chains were interclated into OMMT layer, resulted in inter clated nanometer composite. When the addition of OMMT was 3 phr, OMMT dispersed in PA6 in a fully exfoliat ed phase; when the addition was up to 7 phr, the microstructure of the two phases changed in reverse: HDPE be came disperse phase, and PA6 continuous phase. The composite had the best mechanical propert ies when the con tent of OMMT was 3 phr.
