This work is licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution International License (CC BY). /licenses/by/4.0/ Abstract Culture is an important influence factor of psychological phenomenon. The effect of culture on self is an issue of researchers’ common concern. Methods used to explore the effects of cultural on self mainly include static orientation which includes the methods of questionnaire and situation sam- pling, and dynamic research orientation which mainly adopts cultural priming paradigm. Cultural neuroscience orientation combines the cognitive neuroscience technology with static and dynamic research methods. In the future we need to focus on various cultural factors from the view of so- cial culture changes. Self is a comprehensively psychological system, we need to strengthen our studies to other fields of self-system.
