社会认同实际(国外英文资料)
社会认同理论(国外英文资料)
This classic social psychology study shows that people can form groups with just a little excuse and start discriminating against others who dont belong to the group.
The behavior of people in groups is always fascinating and often disturbing. Once people formed groups, we began to do strange things: imitate other members in the group behavior, bias toward members of the group, looking for a can be worshipped, and the fight against the leader of the other groups. Just look at the Sherif Robbers Cave experiment and discover how easy it is to provoke conflict between different groups.
But look at the different types of groups you belong to, and youll see theres a huge difference between them. Some groups are more likely to be soldiers of the same combat unit, who have known each other since childhood. The relationship lasts long, close, and the members protect each other. Perhaps it is not surprising that people in this group have changed their behaviour radically and in many ways to protect their compatriots.
Other groups, however, are not so close. Supporters of a sports club, for example, or in a few months to study the same subject together colleagues, even in a gallery appreciating a painting of a group of people.
In any area of attention, it seems impossible to think that people who stand together in the same painting for just 30 seconds form a group. Doesnt this relationship seem too fleeting? Thats exactly what social psychologist Henry Tajfel and his colleagues have to answer.
They believe that a group and consequent bias may be formed in a very short period of time. In fact, they think that even without face-to-face communication between the members, each other mutual understanding, and their community behavior under the condition of no real influence, it is possible to form groups. In other words, they dont get any gains from this group of people who have form.
Form a group of the least group
Tajfel and colleagues have come up with a simple
