I have to help my parents. /I have to go to the doctor. III. Teaching Difficulties Using the target language to practice the oral English in pairs . IV. Teaching Methods Communicative methods Groupwork V. Teaching Procedures Step 1.Lead in Greeting T: Who is on duty today? S:(one student stand up) I am. T: What’s the date today? S:It’s December 11th. T:T:Thank you.Can you come to my home this weekend? Ss:Yes, I can. T:My birthday is coming, I want to have a party this weekend, can you come to my party? Ss:Yes,I’d love to./ No, I can’t. Then guide to the target language. Step 2. Presentation T:If you can’t come, what are you going to do this weekend? Ss:I am going to visit my aunt/do my homework/help my parents. Then guide to the new phrases . Learn the phrases and do the exercise in 1a. Step 3. Consolidation First let the students read the dialogue in the picture. Then listen to it. (This activity provides guided oral practice using the target language). Step 4. Practice After the listening practice, ask the student to practice some invitations and refusals in groups. Remind students they can not only invite classmates, but also their friends, parents and teachers. Ask students to invite the teachers who sit behind them. Step 5. Summary Ask students to sum up what we have learned this period:some key vocabulary and the target language(That is how to invite somebody and how to refuse an invitation politely.) Step 6.Hom
