Firstly, the effects of deformation temperature, st rain rat e and true strain on deformation resistance are analyzed w ith a onepass compression test. T he deformation resistance mathemat ic model is select ed and the undetermined coefficients are given. And t hen the repeatabilit y of t he test and the effects of samples length are studied. Finally , the effects of residual strain between passes on deformation resistance are analyzed w ith a t wopass compression test, and the deformation resistance mathemat ic model is built in w hich the residual strains effect is considered. This model provides necessary theoretic basis for 04 stainless steel calculat ion of deformation resistance.
