[ESCRS2013]会议亮点展示——ESCRS主席Peter Barry教授访谈 2013-12-4 10:50:00?国际眼科时讯 　　International Ophthalmology Times:?As the President of the ESCRS， can I get some of your thoughts on this year’s Congress， some of the highlights and some of the important things that have gone on over the past few days? ? 　 ??《国际眼科时讯》：作为ESCRS的主席，对于今年年会在过去几天所进行的一些精彩的和重点的事项，您有什么想法？ ? 　　Dr. Barry：My immediate response to that question is that I think our Annual Congress this year has surpassed all expectations. Last year in Milan when we had 6400 delegates and we knew that that was in combination with EURETINA who themselves contributed 3000 delegates with a crossover from EURETINA with members going to both meetings， we are pleasantly surprised to have achieved a figure of 7200 ophthalmologists at this meeting this year in Amsterdam; it is an all-time high. We are also particularly pleased to have over 1100 trainee delegates. ? 　　Dr. Barry：对于这个问题我第一反应就是我觉得今年的年会已经超过了所有的预期。去年在米兰的时候我们有6400个代表参会，并且我们知道是与EUTRTINA会议等同时召开，EURETINA自己提供了3000个代表参加会议。在今年阿姆斯特丹举行的会议中，我们很高兴也很惊讶地取得了7200个眼科医生参会惊人数字，这是历年来的最高点。我们也特别高兴有超过1100个实习代表参会。 ? 　　I have made it one of the platforms of my presidency to encourage youth in the Society and our membership amongst young trainee ophthalmologists has increased from 400 in January 2012 to 1700 plus as we speak. I think that is because we offer them a good program， we offer them now free membership of the society for any three years of their residency and with that free membership comes all the benefits of ESCRS On Demand， the iLearn platform， the Journal of Cataract and Refractive Surgery and finally a reduced registration fee for the annual meeting and the Winter meeting of 50EUR.
