Thematerialsused inthisworkwerecharacterized byhigh power XRD, FT- IRand SEM, indicating theunique structureand high phasepurity of the synthetic samples. Thebehaviors of these inorganicmaterials in the remediation of low level anionicpollution inwater werestudied. During theadsorption process, the electric conductivity change in the aqueous system was observed. The results showed that this conductivity change might be the reflection of the dynamic regeneration of the calcined hydrotalcite. It was also found that the ratio of MgAl of the calcined hydrotalcite played a vital role in the adsorption of low concentration of anionic dye in water. Keywords:hydrotalcite;
