These discharges were all with negative electric () field at ground negative charge overhead under the influ-( ) ence of dominant negative charge in thunderstorm. They ,[4] were usually with several fast current pulses or return strokes,all lowering negative charge from cloud to ground. The peak current ranged between kiloampere and tens of , 199419961995 kiloamperes.
