Practical and Simplified Method of Tension of Thin － Walled Vase Pier

Abstract :This paper establishes strut － and － tie model in thin － walled vase pier by using combination method
of ansys finite element analysis and stress trace and proposes the practical and simplified method of tension of thin
－ walled vase pier． The relevant factors influencing resistance of tie bar in strut － and － tie model of thin －
walled vase pier are discussed． An effective and simple calculation method is provided for thin － walled vases
pier design and checking．
