The clinical data and MD- CT findings of 51 cases of ulmonary tuberculous cavities and 39 cases of malignant cavities were reviewed retros ectively, w hich include the general as ects of atients, the manifestation of cavity and the changes of adjacent structures. The re- sults revealed that t he tuberculous cavity tends to locate in the u er lobe or the su erior segment of lower lobe, and it is usually acom anied w ith cavity w all calcification, satellite lesions, eri heral inflammat ion, lym h node calcification, small diameter and thin wall thickness. The malignant cavities, show ing no dis osition to locate in a lobe or segment, are characterized by mural nodules, of-f center cavity, lobulation, coarse s eculation, lym h node enlargement, vascular clus- tering sign, big diameter and thick wall.
