For a person who keep away from the death of his body we think he’s lived for a long time（久）. And for a person who keep away from the death of his spirit, we call it longevity(寿). 人之生也柔弱，其死也坚强。 草木之生也柔脆，其死也枯槁。 When man is alive,his body is tender,but it turns hard as long as he’s dead. When the plants are living, the body is hard but it turns withered when it dies.
