ABSTRACT
Acute Toxicity Test of Myasthenia Ⅱ Capsule in Mice and the
Influence of the Myasthenia Ⅱ Capsule on Learning and Memory of
the Model Mice with Spleen-deficiency
Objective: 1. the acute toxic reaction and death of mice were observed in a fortnight’s time
after intragastric administration of Myasthenia Ⅱcapsule in order to assess its
safety.2. A mouse model of spleen-deficiency was investigated to monitor the
damage to hippocampal neurons and expression of nNOS and NMDAR1mRNA.
Furthermore, the therapeutic effects of Myasthenia Ⅱcapsule formula and its
mechanism were studied in terms of ethology, pathomorphology and molecular
immunology on spleen-deficiency
Methods: 1. The KM mice were intragastrically administered with Myasthenia Ⅱcapsule
at the maximum concentration; as a result there was no death of mice found and
no LD50 detected. Hence the maximum dosage was measured.2.as compared
with the normal group injected the same dose physiological saline under the same
approach, the spleen-deficiency model was applied by injecting reserpine under
subcutaneous dorsum. Nissls staining was used to evaluate the damage to
hippocampal neurons. Alteration of mice behaviors were observed. The genetic
expression of neuronal nitric oxide synthase( nNOS ) in the brain were
