In about 8000 subjects, there are only more than 20 graphics. The reason may be similar to what L. G. Roberts says in A FORWARD LOOK (NIC 7542), and that is, database sharing or software sharing will not be an important topic for the next few years. ARPANE hasnt developed long enough for anyone who cares about it to know if its feasible and creative. Therefore, the purpose of this paper is to introduce the existing situation of graphics on ARPANET and the further circumstances involved. Ill start with an overview, then give a brief overview of my past work, and finally add some of my new ideas. Because there is a lot of data processing on the ARPANET. Some or all of them may be used at the same time. We are not limited to the system architecture of individual installations: a master processor and some low-end machines (or even none) as display processors.
