Abstract Based on the statistic data of the production accidents from 2005to 2008, the method MATLAB is applied to conduct hierarchical
clusterin analyses, dividin the situation of safe production of 31 provinces, municipalities and autonomous re ions in China into four cate
ories. The features of safety production situation in different types of re ions are analyzed, providin references for the relevant departments
to develop specific control measures on safe production.
