Recent Research Advances on Ethylene Receptors in Tobacco

Ethylene is a gaseous hormone that plays multiple roles in plant growth, development
and stress. In the article, the research advancement on ethylene receptors in tobacco was summarized.
Ethylene receptor NtETR1, NtERS1 , NTHK1 and NTHK2 gene had been cloned from tobacco in
recent years. Characterization and molecular cloning cDNA for ethylene receptors were investigated
in tobacco, especially NTHK1 and NTHK2 . But the studies on the target which ethylene receptors act
in the cell were absent.
