From the view of composing port sector as an independent one a matrix is established changing the input鄄output table of 122 sectors to 45 sectors. Based on the input鄄output table of 45 sectors the measuring indexes and the models to estimate the economic contribution of several ports in a same area are given. It is proved by the practical cases of several ports in some area that this method can avoid the difficulties of collecting data from many ports. It can not only take all contribution of port in to consideration but also meet the same requirements of the sectors in input鄄output table. The results show that it is more reasonable and feas
