When preparing test material from another material, the material, dimensions (plate thickness, outer diameter, shape of groove, etc.) surface condition, heat treatment and welding conditions must be equivalent to those of the actual part. The test piece must be basically prepared by cutting work , When using the gas cutting method, the heat affected zone must be removed completely (in accordance with TS 67-0042). 3.2 Shape 3.2.1 The shapes of the test material and test piece of the reinforced front fillet-welded joint must be as shown in Figure 1.
