T he mainly aim of the technology is to r ecog ni e the identit y of per so n and judg e t he content of speech or diagno se t he illness auto matically accor ding to the features ex tr acted fr om the speaker s w av efor ms. A ll these features are r elated with t he character istics of speaker s physiolo gical, patholo gical and psy cholo gical actio n. Speaker r eco gnitio n study has it s 50-year old history alr eady , but acoustic analy sis in diagno sing disease ha s been founded since 1970s. T his paper intr oduces the main co ncept and resear ch background of t his diag no sing system gener ally and discusses the pr oblems gener ated dur ing pr ocessing . At la st the pro spect for t he applicatio ns of acoustic analysis is forecasted.
